Delete your account
Two ways to do it. Both erase the same things, permanently.
This cannot be undone. Once deleted, your streak history, resets, urges, check-ins and journal entries are gone from our database and we cannot recover them. Export your data first if you want to keep it — Settings → Export everything.
From inside the app — immediate
This is the fastest route and needs nothing from us:
- Open Reclaim and go to the You tab
- Scroll to Your data
- Tap Delete account
- Enter your password to confirm
Deletion happens straight away.
By email — if you cannot open the app
Write to harshlohia26@gmail.com from the email address on the account, with the subject Delete my Reclaim account.
We will confirm the request came from the account holder, delete everything, and write back to confirm. Expect this within 30 days, and usually within a few working days.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in credentials
- Your profile: name, reason for starting, goal and settings
- Your streak, and all past streaks
- Every reset, urge, daily check-in and journal entry
What does not
- Your subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel in Google Play or the App Store, or you will keep being charged.
- Purchase records held by the app stores and RevenueCat, which they retain for their own accounting and legal obligations.
- Crash diagnostics, which contain no personal entries and expire on Firebase Crashlytics' own schedule, typically around 90 days.
